John Tavares

Buffalo Bandits
Evil Empire Lacrosse, awards its Player of the Week to John Tavares, of the Buffalo Bandits, who in his 182nd game broke the final offensive career record he did not already own. 13:08 into the 3rd quarter JT took a pass from Roger Vyse (second assist Mark Steenhuis) and from 35 feet away he put the record breaking shot pass NY Titan goaltender Matt Vinc for his 4th goal (2a 6p) of the game. It was a classic JT goal following two other goals he has become famous for: the catch and dive (3rd goal from Steenhuis and Ian Llord) and the good old fast break off the bench (2nd goal from Dan Teat and Steenhuis). The record for career goals now stands at 597. Tavares also holds the record for assists 659 and points 1256.
