The Minnesota Swarm non lacrosse operations had what can only be described as a great opening season. Despite a season marked by bad weather, bad home game performances, and questionable personal decisions the Swarm boasted the fourth best attendance in the NLL, 10,315 which beat notable franchises such as Buffalo, Calgary, and Rochester. The Swarm has what is sure to become a benchmark website not only for lacrosse but for all sports. The website features a chat board, video highlights of not only the game but of even the performance team. Among the innovations the Swarm bring to the National Lacrosse League are Voucher Books giving fans the flexibility to buy tickets to upcoming regular season games without committing to a specific date and a second half of season mini pack for late blooming season ticket holders.
